General Information
During the 2 Day Introduction to Horsemanship Workshops, there will be group sessions where Chris will outline the big picture of groundwork and riding concepts to the participants.
All disciplines are welcome!
Horse experience of all levels as well as all breeds, ages and genders of horse are allowed, although clinics are not intended for a “first ride” however, solid groundwork with green/young horses will prove extremely beneficial on all levels for preparing them for a future partnership with a rider. Participants will have the opportunity to work with Chris, which may include round-pen work, ground work (in-hand, lunge line, long lines) and, if desired, work under saddle. Participants are asked to bring halter and lead rope (without a chain), cotton (rather than nylon) lunge line, lunge whip, dressage or short whip or crop, protective boots for their horse (if they use them) and, if they plan to ride, all tack including a full cheek or D-ring snaffle bit. Helmets are required.
Spectators are welcome for a fee of $35 per day payable at the door or through our online store. Food and beverage concession will be available on site.
Online secure PayPal payment or personal cheque is accepted, with cheques made payable to: HORSEPOWER PRODUCTIONS, P.O. Box 1619, Whitecourt, AB T7S 1P4. Your clinic fee does not include overnight stabling of your horse. Stabling fees are established separately by the host facility.
